DJ EquipmentA good DJ can totally make the party, draw out a crowd, and give the party a fantastic energy.  A basic set up of DJ equipment is essential for a DJ to do their job of playing the music, and spicing it up in their own style and way.

The standard DJ equipment includes turntables, mixers, amplifiers and speakers, headphones, and a microphone so the DJ can talk to the crowd. Depending on the style of music that a DJ plays, for example, hip hop, reggae, rave, or some other style, he will probably use some other equipment to give the music his own twist. Perhaps an electronics effects unit for delay, octave, reverb, chorus, equalizer, etc, or a computerized performance system used to manipulate the music.

So, depending on how high tech your DJ equipment is, and the skill and experience of your DJ, your party can seriously rock! There are also computer programs that can be used to either enhance the equipment you already use, or some programs can be automated, and work through your party play list with DJ style.

You can either purchase or rent your DJ Equipment, or you can hire a DJ, depending on your needs. There are many DJs for hire, from local DJs to well known and recognized DJs. Obviously, you can expect to pay a good bit more for a well known DJ. If you decide to rent your equipment, you can find a party rental near you who will have everything a DJ needs to stir up a good party. If you decide to purchase, you can either purchase new equipment, or second hand, or a combination. Be sure you shop around and know what you are looking for so you can get yourself the best deal, and do your DJ-ing up to snuff.
